With over 35 years of experience...
I’m here to help you train staff, stay compliant, and provide innovative services
I've been in the field a long time; let me tell you a bit about my journey!
It’s been 35+ years, in fact.
In that time, I have held nearly every position in the field of developmental disabilities (Yes, I have career ADD).
Because I have held so many diverse positions, I truly understand the inherent concerns, priorities, and challenges of each role and how each role works with the others.
I use this understanding to help you accomplish your goals efficiently, effectively, and seamlessly.
I am a nationally recognized trainer and systems strategist
I have spent decades helping human service agencies strengthen performance and solve the right problems.
Known for quickly identifying workflow breakdowns, communication gaps, and misaligned outcomes, I deliver practical, high-impact sessions that replace confusion with clarity.
Participants leave with field-tested, immediately actionable strategies that improve outcomes for individuals, stabilize teams, and strengthen agency performance.
My experience spans residential services, employment supports, case management, housing, investigations, compliance audits, and state policy development across more than twenty states.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Public Administration, and I live in Columbus, Ohio.
I HELP PROVIDERS:
Find the root cause
of their problems so their fixes actually stick.
Decrease turnover
which means supervisors spend less time constantly hiring and training, and more time leading, coaching, and improving services.
Redesign their training process
so new hires are competent and independent faster.
Build effective internal compliance systems
so that services are audit-ready all the time…which means fewer citations, faster audits, shorter exit conferences, and less time spent going back to fix things, and more time moving forward with big plans.
Eliminate “quit-all-of-sudden” syndrome
which means managers aren’t blindsided, morale is stable, and teams show up consistently for the individuals they support.
Streamline communication & accountability systems…
which means less internal drama and confusion, and more time building amazing lives with the individuals they serve.
Train their staff …
every staff person should be able to competently execute their duties independently. There should be no need for constant reminders or begging.
Create engaging, meaningful activities that individuals love
Never struggle to come up with activity ideas, and end boredom for individuals and staff alike, all while teaching new skills, furthering independence, building relationships, and community connections
Empower Frontline Supervisors
so that DSPs are supported to effectively deliver services, individuals' outcomes are met, and compliance risks stay low.
And so much more!

Our five homes visited were compliant; all individual records were compliant, self-assessments, and skills assessments were compliant. The team admired our set-up and organization.
The exit conference took less than 15 minutes. They promise to recommend our set-up to others. All in all, it was really fun to see our compliance team so organized for its first inspection since its formation.
We can now proudly say that our compliance team is now at work, and we shall strive to be compliant ready at all times.
Thanks to you, Ms. Sherman, we are getting there.
